I have been lucky enough to be blessed with some good skin. Other than the occasional pimples every once in a while, I have no problems or complaints. I still used MAC’s StudioFix as a way to give my skin a uniform look. But it wasn’t until last month when I discovered tinted moisturizer.
What is tinted moisturizer? It is a lightweight formula that adapts to the color of your skin, giving you a finished and glowy look. They also have SPF, to help with anti-aging.
I am currently using Origins’ Vita Zing tinted moisturizer. I have recently become a big fan of Origins products as they are all natural.
I use Vita Zing Moisturizer for days when I am out and about, running errands, or get togethers with family and friends. I apply MAC Studio Fix for work, birthdays, parties, and nights out. Revlon ColorStay is for special occasions such as weddings, engagements, etc.
Do you use tinted moisturizer? What is your favorite brand?
(P.S. Some of my other favorite Origins products are Cheeks and Balances face wash and Modern Friction. If you don’t want to buy their products right away, go to your nearest store and ask for a sample. They are very generous!)
This is my favourite one too! Origins Vita Zing is so unique and great! I love how it works with any skin colour. Also, I currently started using a BB cream (just the one by Garnier, although the are many out there), I quite like it as it really saves a lot of time on doing a proper foundation routine, yet has quite good coverage.
Yes, I fully agree! It saves so much time compared to the usual foundation routine.
I know we’ve talked about this but I lovee Origins too! I use their Modern Friction (they gave me literally a handful of samples of it before my last India trip because my MF container was over 3 ounces) and Balanced Diet moisturizer and I have the United State toner as well though I have to confess that I really have no idea what its for (haha). I can’t wait to sample the tinted moisturizer next time I’m in the store! My skin gets ridiculously dry in the winter so I’m constantly on the lookout for good lotions if you have any recs 🙂
Haha, I am not exactly sure what a toner is for either? I have the same problem with dry skin and Vita Zing really helps my face stay moisturized. I also use Cetaphil lotion in the winter to help combat the dryness!
So I just picked up a few things from Origins a few days ago because my skin has been crazy breaking out from stress/lack of sleep etc 😦 This was my 1st time trying out any Origins products. I’ve tried everything and nothing consistently works, so I thought I would try something new. I got the Modern Friction, a toner called Zero Oil, and the Out of Trouble 10 min mask! I am LOVING Modern Friction…no scrub has ever made my skin so soft. They also gave super generous samples of Vita Zing, Gen Zing eye cream, a night time serum, and Never A Dull Moment brightening face wash! 🙂 I hope all this stuff helps clear up my skin over the next few weeks. Will let you know what I think!
BTW, a toner helps to balance your skin after cleansing. There are different kinds…for oily skin, you can use a toner to help clear out any last bits of makeup/oil left in your pores. For dry or combination skin, there are hydrating toners that you can use if your face wash feels too harsh and dries your skin out. Also I feel that botanical/herbal toners just feel soothing! Try it out 🙂
Yes, definitely let me know what you think! I use Modern Friction 2x a week and I love it as well. The brightening face wash sounds interesting, would love to know how that works for you 🙂
